10 Garlic Clove Chicken
My love for roast chicken continues—and this recipe is officially in first place. This 10 garlic clove chicken is rich, comforting, and unbelievably flavorful. The silky sauce made with wine, butter, and olive oil coats every bite. And the garlic? Ten whole cloves bring deep, aromatic flavor that makes this dish unforgettable.
Even better, this easy roast chicken is simple enough that anyone can make it. The prep is fast. The ingredients are minimal. Yet the payoff tastes like something you’d order at a restaurant.
Use Any Bone-In Chicken
Don’t have a whole chicken? No problem. Use bone-in chicken thighs, drumsticks, or bone-in chicken breasts. They all work beautifully.
Bone-in chicken keeps the meat juicy and tender. The skin also crisps up nicely, giving you that perfect balance of crunchy exterior and moist interior. This makes it ideal for a weeknight chicken dinner when you want big flavor without extra work.
Why This Recipe Works
The combination of garlic, wine, and butter creates a naturally rich sauce. As the chicken roasts, the garlic softens and sweetens. The pan juices thicken into a glossy, savory coating that pairs perfectly with rice, roasted potatoes, or a bright salad.
Furthermore, this gluten free chicken dinner requires only one pan. Simple, satisfying, and loaded with flavor—just how dinner should be.
Pro Tip:
Roast the garlic cloves whole—don’t chop them. Whole cloves caramelize, soften, and bring a sweeter, deeper flavor to the sauce.

- salt and pepper
- 2 cups white wine
- 10 garlic cloves, peeled
- small bunch fresh parsley, chopped finely

- Pour the wine in the skillet around the chicken and place the garlic cloves in the wine (on the sides of the chicken).
- Roast for 55-65 minutes or until the skin is crispy brown and the chicken is cooked through.
