At Home:
Back to school products we love!
High fives all around. It’s officially count down time for the beginning of school for my kids.
After a completely mess of a year of homeschool (I am a Chef + Mom…not a teacher) and then online and 2 days a week, we are ALL stoked for a more normal school year.
AND with all that being said, I’m organizing all our go to things for back to school to give the girls a kick in their pants (I mean, a pep in their step) to have a fantastic start to this school year.
Here are all the products we love!
School Lunch + Snacks
Ok, it’s time to pack those lunches. I try to pack at least 3 different colors…we eat with our eyes after all. I also try to pack one item for them to TRY.
First I I pack it full of veggies like baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, celery sticks and cheese slices. Fresh berries, apple slices, deli meats with mustard are a perfect fit.
Then I add in a mix of some store bought goodies like, hummus, smoked sausage links, gluten free graham crackers, chips, freeze dried fruit, pitted olives, and our favorite gluten free cookies!
Sustainable Products we love
The girls are excited about their new water bottles from Hydroflask and I fill them with our water which is filter from Clearly Filtered
I pack their lunches in PlanetBox – they are stainless steel and are bento box style…SO nothing has to touch each other (if you know, you know this is important). We love the Basic Rover Stainless Steel Lunch Box Yes, they are pricy but we have had ours for a couple of years now! Each girl picked out their own pattern for their lunch bag too!
For their snack, I pack it separately in Lunch Skins cute little paper bags. I mean – check out those designs.
Random + Fun!
We love backpacks from L.L. Bean – being from Maine and always having a bag from there, it was an easy choice. PLUS they literally last FOREVER. The return policy along with their damage or fix-it department, makes buying a backpack from them an easy choice.
My girls love New Balance shoes – these are great trail, running and generally great sneakers. For a total treat, we signed up for Stitch Fix for delivery every 2 months (it’s a great surprise!) and having a new personalized pencil case gives anyone a smile.
After school sweets + clean up!
We all need a transition from school to home life… or off to soccer practice.
Besides more of our Al la Carte lunch items and anything I baked that day plus water, we love Magic Spoon Cereal, and when I’m the Mom of the year (or day), I give them a Good Pop
I’ve been using Molly Sud’s for our laundry and it has saved me from dirt and smell.
What did I leave out?
What are your favorites?
I hope you and yours have a fabulous school year. Even if you aren’t in school – we all need to support our little learners!
Now time for some Mom time!
