The Best Lemon Parmesan Side Salad
Simple | Side for many recipes
Let’s stop overcomplicating salad.
You don’t need 12 ingredients, three textures, and a homemade dressing that requires a blender and a life plan. Sometimes the best salad is the one you can make in under five minutes — the one that quietly shows up next to dinner and makes everything else taste better.
This is that salad. I know it seriously doesn’t look like much but I promise you it’s the BEST side salad you will ever make.
Crisp romaine. Good olive oil. Fresh lemon juice. Shallot. Salt, pepper, a pinch of red pepper flakes, and a generous shower of parmesan.
It’s simple. It’s sharp. It cuts through rich meals and balances your plate without stealing the show.
And once you start making it, you won’t stop.
