41 years.
It’s really just a number. I got carded the other day, so that helps and a teenage boy, asked me where I go to college. So there’s that.
I usually take selfies in cool looking bathrooms...
Plus, I am rarely serious in photos. I can’t even behave myself with a have a professional taking photos of me while cooking at an event – I mean seriously!
After a fresh haircut and color, I usually check it out in the car. Plus I’m always up for trying a new cocktail and someone taking a photo of it.
Do you remember when I did the 10 random things post about me? It actually included over 25 random things about me, I just couldn’t stop at 10.
Since it’s my birthday, I thought I should do more. But instead, here are 10 things I have learned in my 41 years.
Do NOT compare yourself to others. Be you. Shine bright always.
Stop assuming the worse. Stop assuming someone else’s thoughts, before even talking to them.
Release your past anger.
Forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting.
Cry it out. Laugh it out. Get it out.
Lift others up.
Don’t speak for others. Let them speak their own words.
Do something everyday for yourself. Something that you love and gives you energy and peace.
Give enough of yourself to someone – only if you get what you want in return.
If you are able to pick up where you left off with friends – even after 6 months or a year – those are your friends
