10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me (No Recipes Included)

No food today. No recipes. No “add garlic and stir.”

Just me.

It’s my birthday, and every year I like to pause, zoom out, and share a few things that have nothing to do with what’s on your plate — but everything to do with who I am behind it.

Yes, there is a real person behind all this delicious food and gluten free recipes. So let me get started.

10 Random Things About Me

1. I am fiercely loyal.
Like… I don’t mess around. I have your back — if you have mine. Simple.

2. I’ve built a circle of powerful, creative women.
They lift me up daily. And I really hope I do the same for them. That kind of energy is everything.

3. I am VERY competitive.
You say “race me” or “I bet you can’t”—I’m already halfway there. I don’t even need context.

4. I graduated top of my culinary class… at 30.
Also the second oldest in the room. Proof that timelines are fake.

5. I have a problem with hats and overalls.
It’s not a phase. It’s a lifestyle. And yes, I probably own too many.

6. If there’s a spicy margarita on the menu…
It’s already mine. No further discussion.

7. I know how to sail a boat…any size. I once spent 22 days on a sailboat with no engine in high school. No showers and no toilet.

8. I don’t really eat fruit.
I know. I don’t have a good explanation. I just… don’t.

9. I’m obsessed with white t-shirts.
Probably 10+ and counting. Same with white tanks. Clean, classic, always works.

10. I LOVE hosting.
Give me a theme, a holiday, or literally any excuse — I’m inviting people over.

"and just in case you are still reading, there's more. 1. I have resting b face - I'm not mad, I'm deep in thought and about to rock your world. 2. I love to go backcountry skiing via a helicopter. 3. I want to be remembered as a bad ass."

Things I’ve Learned Along the Way

  • Don’t compare yourself to others. Ever. Be you. That’s the whole point.
  • Stop assuming the worst. You don’t know what someone’s thinking — talk to them.
  • Lift other people up — it costs nothing and means everything.
